Get to Know Claire, IGNITE’s New Digital Account Manager
Claire Concannon, DIGITAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
We recently welcomed Claire to the IGNITE team as our newest Digital Account Manager!
We sat down with Claire to learn more about her journey to IGNITE and her thoughts on the digital world.
Where are you originally from, and what led you to Melbourne?
I’m from Dublin, Ireland. I wanted a change and decided to move to Melbourne to continue my career in campaigns and delve into the digital world.
What’s your professional background?
After leaving university, where I studied Media and French, I began working with a marketing team in a radio station.
Following this, I moved to New York for 18 months where I wrote for a magazine, and after returning to Ireland, worked with a company called Centus where I discovered my passion for campaigns and marketing.
What drew you to IGNITE?
From my very first interview, I could feel that the culture and vibe was just right for me.
The team are so welcoming, and from the beginning, I felt that I was cared for and wouldn’t just be another number in the office.
I also love what they do, and chatting to the team made me excited to learn all about their design and marketing processes.
What are you most excited about in your new role as Digital Account Manager?
I’m excited to learn all of the ins and outs of what’s involved in my role, while also upskilling and learning how everyone on the team plays a part. I love being able to help others on the team and also help clients, so I’m excited to work through and find solutions to anything they might need.
What are your thoughts on the future of the digital world?
I think it’s logical to say that the digital world is expanding now more than ever, and with that, there are changes and improvements constantly.
I think for most people who visit a website, they need it to be visually pleasing and easily accessible, with everything you need just a click away.
Clear and concise content is always preferable rather than text overload and this has become a huge focus in recent years, making websites user-friendly.
It excites me knowing that I can be part of the future changes made in the digital world, and witnessing the growing developments in AI which are already ground-breaking. It’s exciting to see where the digital world can go from here.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Outside of work, you’ll find me working out at Crossfit, trying out different restaurants, and enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
